Choosing a Testing CRO: Advice to help make sure you obtain robust and ethically sound results

There have been alarming recent news stories regarding the robustness of test results on some Australian sun products. It is possible that U.K. brands are also impacted. This shows that having a signed test report does not protect you if there are issues and it is the brand that is exposed and stands to lose far more money and reputational damage  than the cost of the test. How exactly should you check whether the test centre is producing correct and reliable data, whether for SPF, moisturisation or any other claims? In this talk, I will explain what questions you should be asking, how to properly audit your study and things to watch out for that could be red flags. I will also discuss the potential ethical pitfalls of testing on people and about ensuring that the test centre you choose matches your Corporate Social Responsibility policies that you apply to the rest of the supply chain.
