Karen obtained a degree and PhD in Chemistry from UMIST, following which she joined a multi-national imaging company as a research scientist working on the introduction of a new product range. This involved the design and patenting of new proprietary materials followed by their development and scaleup for product use. Karen moved into the “new product introduction group” working with manufacturing, marketing, and customers to develop product specifications.
Karen then worked for a FMCG company helping to ensure a fast but efficient introduction of new products for customers from across the globe.
Karen now works for the CBA where she is the main interface with members to whom her knowledge and experience provides immense value. Karen leads or coordinates various CBA Committees, projects, initiatives, and member engagement events working with a variety of stakeholders, including UK and overseas Government departments and agencies.
