Sustainability Focus

Sustainability within the Personal Care Industry

In today’s world, we are increasingly conscious of the importance of safeguarding and preserving the health of our planet. The concept of “Sustainability” is now widely understood to mean meeting the needs of the present, while also ensuring that future generations can meet their own needs.

This multifaceted topic encompasses environmental, economic, and social factors, making it a prominent issue for both individuals and companies alike.

The SCS has allocated “Sustainability Focus” presentations which comprise of a broad range of talks given by experts on legislation, packaging, formulating, life cycle analysis, recycling, standards, supply chain, store design, raw materials etc. The aim was to cover as many angles as possible to inform and give ideas on how to improve our impact in the world of cosmetics.

This year the Sustainability Focus has been included within our Inform Seminars, see the full programme here.
