Gill Westgate is a successful hair and skin science professional with an extensive and varied career obtained in industry (Unilever UK), academia and private consultancy. She has served the cosmetics industry as a consultant for over 20 years and also spent several years in research and knowledge transfer within academia (University of Bradford, UK). Gill is internationally recognized for her scientific contribution in hair and scalp science and is often an invited speaker at conferences. In 2020 she co-founded Cosmetics Cluster UK, a trade association for UK companies within the cosmetics sector. Gill is passionate about education and contributes to CCUK’s education and career skills activities through running events, CCUK surveys and sitting on the national conference organising committee of the Society of Cosmetic Scientists.
