Environment & Technical Information Officer
After graduating in Chemistry from the University of Birmingham, Christine joined the cosmetics industry in 1989. During her career, Christine has enjoyed working in various stages of the supply chain – from product development and manufacturing to spas and retail, both in the UK and overseas.
Christine attained the SCS Diploma in Cosmetic Science in 1991, is also a qualified aromatherapist and has been actively involved within the Society of Cosmetic Scientists as well as the South African Society of Cosmetic Chemists.
Christine joined CTPA in 2016 as Technical & Regulatory Co-ordinator. Key roles included providing advice on GMP and non-member engagement. In 2018 Christine was promoted to Environment & Technical Information Officer, combining her wide experience with her passion for driving the industry to be as sustainable and forward-thinking as possible. Her current role focuses on engaging with members as well as external stakeholders to develop understanding on how all companies can work, holistically, to become more sustainable, adapting to ethical, legislative and consumer demands. Whilst still advising on GMP and microbiological issues, Christine runs the CTPA Environmental Sustainability Working Group as well as representing the Association on the Action on Plastics Packaging group at Cosmetics Europe, the European personal care association.
