An Evolution Towards Biodegradable Rheology Modifiers
Time: 2:40 pm - 3:00 pm
Date: 12 November
Theatre: Room A
To transition our products toward greater naturality, a starch-supported copolymer has been developed. The hybrid polymer brings the performance of synthetic rheology modifiers and combines it with the sustainability of the natural component. SCS FormulateTo transition our products toward greater naturality, a starch-supported copolymer has been developed. The hybrid polymer brings the performance of synthetic rheology modifiers and combines it with the sustainability of the natural component. The novel ingredient has been formulated in sulfate, and sulfate-free chassis demonstrating viscoelastic behaviour equivalent to synthetic thickeners. It exhibits sustainable characteristics meeting the inherent biodegradability threshold in an OECD 301B biodegradation test and its manufacturing process addresses all 12 principles of Green Chemistry. This product represents an evolution in our rheology modifier portfolio and solidifies our commitment to a sustainable future.
