UK Cosmetics Regulatory Landscape – Update on the UK Cosmetics Regulation and UK REACH

• With the UK’s complete exit from the European Union, Common Market and Customs Union on 31 December 2020, 2021 brought with it a new legislative framework for cosmetics and personal care products and their ingredients.  CTPA was heavily involved in critical discussions with relevant UK authorities responsible for implementing the UK laws.  Almost two years after the UK became a third country to the EU, this presentation will provide the latest information on the UK Cosmetics Regulation, Schedule 34 of the Product Safety and Metrology Statutory Instrument.  Emma will also give an update on the UK REACH Regulation, how it affects cosmetics manufacturers and whether we can expect a new UK REACH model to be introduced.
