Disruptive Innovation in Beauty in the EMEA Region

Time: 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm

Date: 13 November

Today’s leading beauty brands are increasingly under threat from smaller disruptive players. New opportunities, arising from changes in consumer behaviour, are now often being met by new, fast-growing insurgent brands or local businesses with a closer connection to their consumers. Focusing on the EMEA region, the presentation will explore this trend in the context of emerging beauty and personal care brands. It will delve into beauty innovators in local markets and provide examples of newly established businesses that have identified and catered to a gap in their market. It will also look at how disruptive these brands are within their local market and what future prospects they may have.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand what disruption is, who has the power to disrupt within beauty, and why local brands in particular are seeing success.
  • Reviewing the current state of disruption to the beauty industry within the regions of Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East and Africa.
  • Discover examples of new local brands with unique concepts or value propositions.
