Olivem® 2020 (INCI: Ethylhexyl Olivate (and) Sodium Acrylates Copolymer (and) Polyglyceryl-4 Olivate) is a next generation cold process emulsifier that combines olive oil chemistry with both excellent emulsification performance and natural dermollient functionality. It is a perfect multifunctional ingredient with superior sensoriality and clinically tested benefits thanks to its olive oil biomimetic properties.
This natural derived cold process emulsifier is able to give a more cushioning and spreadable performance to the formulations. This novel technology marries the concepts of high functionality alongside natural olive oil’s unsaturated fatty acids composition. The biomimetic origin provides high compatibility with the hydrolipidic skin, increasing skin hydration and promoting a quick and sustained skin moisture.
Olivem® 2020 allows more energy efficient operations since it enables the preparation of Beauty & Personal Care formulations without heating or high shear mixing. Olivem® 2020 can be added in any phase and at any time in the formulation development process to create your emulsion. It is an efficient viscosity builder for water gels (0,5-5%) and it is able to emulsify very different types of oil, from apolar hydrocarbons to sillicones, esters, natural oils and triglycerides to polar esters. Olivem ®2020 can emulsify up to 30% of oil phase to create rich and nourishing textures.
Olivem® 2020’s unique composition, method of manufacturing, and applications are currently Patent pending.
