Blagden is delighted to announce an agreement with Biova LLC to supply BiovaDerm, an advanced skincare ingredient based on water-soluble egg membrane, to the personal care market in the UK and Ireland.
Biova® LLC, based in the USA, leads the market in research and production of water-soluble egg membrane ingredients. Its advanced production methods retain the natural ratios of skin nutrients contained in egg membranes, key elements of which have been shown to be beneficial to skin.
Egg membrane is the thin layer between the raw eggshell and the egg white. Its purpose is to protect the egg yolk from outside contaminants and it is rich in proteins and other nutrients. During production, Biova uses a patented mechanical process to separate eggshells and their attached membranes from each other to produce an all-natural water-soluble ingredient with many practical health applications.
With supporting results from clinical trials, BiovaDerm® has been shown to maintain skin care and reduce the visible signs of ageing, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles making skin look firmer and younger while improving texture and feel.
“At the high-end skin care market in particular, there is increasing demand for products which straddle beauty and pharma in the way they are presented and their efficacy claims,” said Graham Turton, Blagden Chief Executive. “This natural ingredient from Biova, which is rich in collagen and elastin, is ideal for formulators and producers of such products. We are already seeing considerable interest from customers.”
Blagden will be showcasing the new ingredient on its stand, 415, at SCS Formulate. Alternatively, please contact Mark Allen on 01959 560828 (firstname.lastname@example.org), or Theresa Harrison on 01959 560826 (email@example.com) for further information.
