The Centre for Skin Sciences (CSS) is one of the largest academic centres in Britain for fundamental and translational skin and hair follicle research.
Based at the University of Bradford, Yorkshire, UK, the Centre's internationally renowned scientists have been integrating basic science with applied research for over 30 years, contributing to a greater understanding of what is required for healthy skin and hair. Through collaborative projects we have developed capabilities relevant to consumer and healthcare industries, including those interested in human models for animal replacement, epigenetics in skin & hair regeneration, hair growth, pigmentation, wound healing and inflammatory skin diseases. You can read about the story of our skin epigenetics research here.
We work with industry partners to help turn this fundamental understanding into exciting opportunities for developing new technology and products. Our ethos is to work with human tissues and cells to maximise translation of our work to consumers and patients.
We are delighted to be sharing our stand with the Cosmetics Cluster UK on stand 500
